PRIOR EVENTS, 2012

Event:

For those of you who are unaware, with the Astros move to the
American League beginning in the 2013 season, the easy days of
watching other great National League teams play in Minute Maid
Park is nearly over. So, with your guests join the
Houston Illini Club
as we watch
the Houston Astros play, possibly for their last time in Minute
Maid Park:

The Chicago Cubs on
Tuesday, September 11th!!

The World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, May 5th.
The Cardinals off to a 5 and 1 start. David Freese is
filling the void of Albert Pujols, and they still have big
bats with
Matt Holiday and
former Astros Lance Berkman. While it's too early to know
who will be pitching, Adam Wainwright is back after missing
the 2011 Season. Additionally, the Houston Astros are
playing well too. It will be one of the last times the
Cardinals come to Houston as the Astros are moving to the AL
West next year.

The Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, April
3rd.
For the remaining game the Houston Illini Club has reserved a block of fifty well
placed group Field Box seats, all hugely discounted off the normal $41
price.

Larry DeBrock,
Dean, UIUC's College of Business on Tuesday, April 10th
at the Houstonian!
Dean LeBrock looks forward to
meeting Houston-area University of Illinois alumni and their guests. The
Houston Illini Club
is hosting this event at
The Houstonian Hotel which includes delicious light hors d'oeuvres and
a cash bar (the Houstonian's restaurant Olivette would be
available for dinner after the event either with reservation or
walk-in). There is complimentary self parking, or valet parking
is $15 per car.
This event is open to all Illinois alum, regardless if you are a
Houston
Illini Club Member or a graduate of the College of Business.
Members may reserve this fantastic event via sending a check by
April 5th for $10 per
person to the UIAC of Houston, P.O. Box 542314, Houston, TX
77254. Non-members should send payment to the same address
in the amount of $15 per
person.
Naturally, we encourage all Houston-area Illinois alum to
join the club
($20/individual or $25/couple) in order to participate in this and
other events at discounted rates
while supporting the club's annual
scholarship.
